We sponsor the Castle Acre Litter Team Volunteers, by providing bin bags to help keep our beautiful village looking its best at all times.
With backgrounds in hospitality and public health, we decided to have more control over our lives and originally opened a cafe in Cornwall. Building the business from scratch, we learnt a lot and in 2020 sold it for a healthy profit. We took over Barnfields Cafe in Castle Acre November 2020, right in the middle of the Covid Crisis. Renaming it Wittles, after the Norfolk Slang for ‘Vittles”, which means food store. With restrictions in trading, we put a table across the front door, baked up a table of cakes, a big pot of soup and introduced ourselves to our neighbours.
The warm welcome we received, led to fully opening the Cafe the following Spring and we have continued to welcome many regular customers, along with the visitors to Castle Acre. Living above the Cafe, we enjoy the best morning commute, as well as being part of this lovely village community.
Our passion for delicious food, coffee and making sure people have a good time at Wittles has paid off. Each year we grow from strength to strength. We are now ready to move to our next chapter in life and hand the reigns over to someone new. Wittles Castle Acre is the perfect turnkey purchase for someone looking for a lifestyle business and home, which will give them an income from day one.
